CONGRATULATIONS!! The GVSU Trumpet Ensemble has once again, brought home the 1st place trophy in the 2008 NTC Trumpet Ensemble Competition. GVSU is the first school to win this competition twice. Jeff Lewandowski was awarded 3rd place in the solo competition and Jeff Northman was runner up in the Historic Division. Three trumpet ensembles competed and GVSU was the most represented school at this competition. What a year it has been!!

Jeff Northman has been selected as one of three finalists to compete in the 2008 International Trumpet Guild Mock Orchestra competition. GO JEFF!

Hunter Eberly has been chosen as a scholarship winner in the 2008 International Trumpet Guild competition.

Congratulations to Jeff Lewandowski for being selected from national audition to play principal trumpet in the NY String Orchestra. He performed 3 concerts in Carnegie Hall, December 2006.

Congratulations to Paul Mueler for winning the teaching assistantship at Kansas State University. He will be performing in the faculty brass quintet and assisting with teaching trumpet. He will be working with Dr. Gary Mortenson.
